Thanks to the incredible progress of the vegan movement more and more mainstream fast-food restaurants are adding a substantial plant-based option. Taco Bell has just started a trial run of Beyond Carne Asada at select locations and Panda Express has recently launched Beyond Orange Chicken nationally. These chains join Burger King, KFC, Chipotle, and many others in providing vegan main dishes in response to the growing demand for cruelty-free, environmentally friendly options.
Wendy’s is unfortunately behind the times and has almost nothing vegan friendly on their menu. Advice on how to eat vegan at Wendy’s includes a suggestion to order a burger with no meat or cheese and add fries to the bun for a strange French-fry sandwich, or to order a baked potato with nothing on it. That is so 2010. There is no reason for anyone to put up with that poor excuse for a meal when there are so many options now available. Wendy’s needs to catch up with the industry, take a stand for the planet and give the people what they want by adding a vegan burger to their menu.

SPEAK OUT AGAINST THE CRUELTY:
Pioneering animal advocate, lover of vegan fashion, and thought leader, Elizabeth Novogratz, was called at an early age to devote her life to elevating all animal life after witnessing inhumane animal agriculture and trade in the U.S. and abroad. After a decade of brave travel into places most of us could not, she founded Species Unite: a nonprofit that brings the brightest people and best non-animal products together on one curated media platform. Their popular podcast uncovers the latest in “future food” (cultivated meat), vegan fashion, and plant-forward meals. What we think, wear, and eat matters, now more than ever.
