On November 3rd, 2024, Bainbridge, a small town in South Georgia, woke up to shocking news. Town councillors had quietly approved a planning application for an “agricultural house.”
The facility would breed up to 30,000 monkeys, destined for painful and often deadly experiments. In a town of just 14,000 people, Bainbridge’s residents risked being outnumbered two to one.”
Within weeks, residents rose up in outrage. Hundreds rallied in protest, demanding answers on how the plan was approved behind their backs and announcing legal action to stop the facility before the first brick could be laid.
